Aren't these fabulous? I have dozens of antique newpapers from my grandfathers colonial home in NH. Just need to find the time to scan them in for you!
My favorite HW section is called A Year in the Home--they had one on traveling that I've always obsessed over. It made traveling sound so glamorous--you needed things like flannel nighties, a folding bathtub, smelling salts, Jamaica ginger, a "bundle of rugs" and a trunk (or two) to pack it all in. If anyone actually followed that packing list they must have taken most of their house with them.
