Dictionary Pages

These pages are from a 1923 Webster's Dictionary. It is tiny! The dictionary itself measures about 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Hope you like them! I'll scan in more pages as time allows.. any requests for certain words? It is a 'selected' dictionary so the vocabulary is limited but most of the standard words are there.

  9. I have a giant dictionary from before I was born....a long time ago. I remember looking through all the color plates at flags and other pictures. I just love it but it is falling apart.

  10. Those are fantastic, Abbie! How about "Halloween"...?!! I'm pretty sure that my grandmother was born in 1923, on Halloween day, and many of the homes in our neighborhood were built that year. Super fun - thanks!

  16. At the size of each page, I am surprised how you were able to touch them without their crumbling in between your fingers. These pages are so old they must have turned brittle already. I remember the 1950's copy of 3 nancydrew mystery novels I got from my dad's bookshelf. It's so unfortunate that I lost them when wemoved to our new home.

  22. If you still are doing this, I am looking to complete a dictionary with a few missing pages and this would be ideal. I would appreciate the words available from
    1.) stirrup to swallow
    2.) from swirl to take
3.) from territory to just before the

That would be great! I can print them out and add them for the missing pages and make the dictionary useful. Thank you for your help! Becky
