I scanned these from an 1887 Farm and Home newspaper that came from my grandfather's attic. The mice got the corners but you get the images! (minus the musty smell.. bllleeeaaaaagghhhg..)
I( have to say thank you for your blog it really is wonderful. Have you thought of making things with your wonderful finds? I have saved a few (couldn't resist) lol so if I do make some thing I will let you know. Thanx again
I was so surprised to see the Tillinghast seed ad. For years every spring and fall I would travel to LaConner WA to the old Tillinghast store for seeds and plants. I was heart broken when it closed. It was in a wonderful old building with wood floors that creaked. The building was just marvelous filled with old bins with wonderful seed packets. Seed of everything you could imagine and then some. Christmas decorations were on the second floor and they were lovely. When you were there you felt like you had gone back in time. Just wonderful, so thanks for the image. Sharon

Those are amazing. I love old stuff, especially old farm/garden stuff.
ReplyDeleteI love this blog - you are great. I printed a couple out and framed them in great thrift store finds and hung them in my bathroom.
Thanks so much!
