Happy St. Patty's Day! Free Victorian Image

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I'm afraid I don't have any images currently that are related to the holiday but I do have a spring image. Here is a Victorian image of a girl with flowers.

She's adorable and I love the little lady bug crawling on the flower. Tomorrow's post will feature what I found at the weekend's estate sale and a new vintage image! -Sarah

Antique Advertising Card

I'm baaack......
Yep, I had to take a little hiatus from the blog due to well, no time. I accepted a full time temp job for a little extra money and it was really overwhelming, especially with having my felt business on Etsy as well to work on. At the same time, my boyfriend also started his full time job as a manager working 70 hours a week. So let's just say that the house is now a disaster especially since our two cats didn't want to pitch in to help. But I am quite grateful that the gig is now over and everything can get back to normal. I plan to keep this blog going again so more images will be coming your way!
Thanks for hanging in there, waiting patiently for me to be able to get back to blogging. I will be changing a few items here on the blog in the next few days so if you get any errors, it's probably because I'm trying some new stuff out. : ) -Sarah

Free Vintage Valentine Image- For the Disinterested Valentine

I think this antique valentine is too funny! It's perfect for the one who is just not interested in Valentine's Day (or maybe the one giving her the valentine.)Also, yesterday I received a couple of messages with some viewers who have used my images in their projects. Yay! Here is a little show and tell.

This was made by Jennifer of Scrap de Jenny. Her blog has some great pictures of some scrapbook projects she put together. Here is one where she used the vintage child ornament. Adorable!

And here Megan from Lilac and Lavender used my vintage lilac image in a gift tag. She also has a few more (along with a bunch of other images) that you can download for free on her site.Thank you so much for sharing Jennifer and Megan! I love to see what you all do with the images!

Free Vintage Image- Baby in a Bonnet

This image was taken from the cover of a Victorian age book titled, "The Easy Book" which features a bunch of children's stories. I loved how children were illustrated with big doe eyes and rosy cheeks in that era. -Sarah

Victorian Trade Card- Ready for Rain

Boy I wish it would rain here! It's been a few months since we've seen a good downpour. But maybe that's asking for too much here in the Arizona desert. Maybe I should just wish for temperatures that are below 100 degrees.

Vintage Photographs- The Christmas Play

My bf loves old photographs as much as I do. He picked these up at an estate sale along with a bunch of others that were of the area where we live- only taken about 70 years ago. Pretty cool! These are from the collection and so cute! They are marked Christmas Play, 1940. I love the costumes!

Vintage Clip Art- Dolls of the World

As a child, I wasn't really into dolls much- I was more of the stuffed animal type. However, as I get older I really like dolls more. Some of my favorite are from this Etsy shop called, Cart Before the Horse. Their hand painted faces are just extraordinary. Anyway, here is today's image of dolls around the world. Have a great weekend everyone! -Sarah

Vintage Book Plate

I love to read and I love books! I love to visit the library and even have library cards for every city library around. (However, I haven't visited a couple in a while because a have a few fines and therefore have been banned from checkout until those are repaid. Don't share that with anyone.)

I always have a couple of books around that I'm reading at one time. One that I'm reading now is. "The Geeks Shall Inherit the Earth: Popularity, Quirk Theory, and Why Outsiders Thrive After High School" by Alexandra Robbins. It's about how the kids in high school that weren't popular and therefore labeled "geeks" (e.g. myself), come out on top in the end because of the different way they are wired. It's very good!

Anyway, here is today's image, a vintage bookplate with room to fill in your name.

Oh Scissors! Where Have You Been All My Life?

I saw these scissors on another craft blog and I thought to myself, "Why haven't I seen these before?" I love my pricey super sharp fabric only scissors but I have noticed that they are tougher to cut through thicker fabrics. And after awhile my hands ache. Well problem no more! You can adjust the tension on these to make it so much easier to cut! I definitely will be adding these to my wish list for the upcoming holidays.

Anyway, here are today's images- silhouettes of children hard at work. Speaking of work, I have a lot to do today, so I think it's time to get started!
