The NEW site is UP!

Woooohhooo!! After much hard work the new site is up and running!! Yay! (doing the happy dance..) This will be the last post here. Please visit the NEW Vintage Moth at http://www.percyandbloom.com/ or the direct link is www.percyandbloom.com/the-vintage-moth .

Just a few details:

  • There is a NEW widget located on this sidebar as well as on the NEW site. (it is narrower than the last one avoiding some format problems) Please update your links! Thank you!

  • This blog will stay up. Some of the larger images didn't transfer well, so this is the place for the large format of some images.

  • You can subscribe to the feed either through traditional subscription (also on the new sidebar) or through Facebook Networked Blogs.

Okay, go and take a peek! There are a few sponsors, which is soooo nice!! Remember, it is because of them that I can offer you all the great images free!

( I am still looking for a few more sponsors, just drop me a line at abbie@percyandbloom.com if you are interested. It really is cheap and with approx 60,000 views a month how can you not??)

Thank you for making this blog so special! I hope that the new site will also suit your needs! See you there!!

xoxo~

Pssttt... have you heard???

As some of you might have noticed I haven't been adding new sites to my sidebar. I have had some people contact me and I appologize for not responding. I have been hard at work on a new site, my own web domain.. >insert loud, evil, crackly laugh here.. Bhawhaha!< :) anyways... it is almost up and running and will have multiple pages including The Vintage Moth. This blog location will continue to exist as it hold hundreds of great images for all of us. The new site will have all the old images and well as new posts going forward(once it's live, until then I'll be here). It has been ready for a while now but I have had some domain transfer issues. (the technicalities are frustrating to say the least..) You will be able to subscribe to the new blog feed etc.. if you are interested in advertising your crafty biz or site before we go online, (then you'd be at the top of totem pole so to speak) just drop me an email here. There is also an entire page of special links that have caught my eye and that I find are helpful for life and craft.
So that is where some of my time has been spent.. building a new site! Geesshh! It's hard work, even with a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Host.

'Something's a foot, Dear Watson!'
Sorry, this pic above made me think of Sherlock Holmes in his parlor.

The Programme

If you look closely, the essay on the second page is titled 'Black Spiders'. I thought that was fitting for the upcoming holiday of spook.

Ohh.. the treasures!

Yesterday I visited my aunt and she gave me an antique photo album to scan. Yeay!! Like a child in a candy shop! Soooo... I have about 60 new images for you! Over the next few weeks I'll post them. Now, I can give her the album back and she'll let me take another.. and another.. and another.. you cannot begin to imagine the amount of antique images, postcards, letters, and ephemera that she has! Wooohoooo!!

Harum-Scarum!

I scanned in some more dictionary pages for you.. the Halloween page spread is so much fun! Words like 'harum-scarum' and 'happy'. I also rescanned the letter, sans the ephemera. I thought perhaps you might like to use it as a background without my 'stuff' on top.

Enjoy!

Dictionary Pages

These pages are from a 1923 Webster's Dictionary. It is tiny! The dictionary itself measures about 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Hope you like them! I'll scan in more pages as time allows.. any requests for certain words? It is a 'selected' dictionary so the vocabulary is limited but most of the standard words are there.
