February Sponsorships
Just wanted to let you all know that I am taking new sponsors for February! The current cost is a bargain at only $10 a month. The ad size is currently 125px x 125px and if I get a few more, I will be rotating them on the sidebar for maximum exposure. Email me at thevintagemoth@gmail.com to sign up for advertising. Please note that I am only taking g-rated, child safe ads at this time. Thanks!

Free Vintage Valentine Image- For the Disinterested Valentine
I think this antique valentine is too funny! It's perfect for the one who is just not interested in Valentine's Day (or maybe the one giving her the valentine.)
Also, yesterday I received a couple of messages with some viewers who have used my images in their projects. Yay! Here is a little show and tell.
This was made by Jennifer of Scrap de Jenny. Her blog has some great pictures of some scrapbook projects she put together. Here is one where she used the vintage child ornament. Adorable!

And here Megan from Lilac and Lavender used my vintage lilac image in a gift tag. She also has a few more (along with a bunch of other images) that you can download for free on her site.
Thank you so much for sharing Jennifer and Megan! I love to see what you all do with the images!

This Should Scare You Too
I wanted to take a few moments to bring up something important to me that I just found out about this morning. I don't feel as though a free vintage image site is the right platform for any political talk but this could affect this site (and any other internet site really) should it really be enacted.
Many of us (especially in the US) has heard of SOPA and the freedom that we will lose if this passes. But something has been going on that is much, much worse behind our backs. And when I say "we" I mean everyone in Australia, the European Union, Canada, the United States, Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, Morocco, Singapore, and Switzerland. It is called ACTA which stands for Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. Enacting this "law" will give INTERNATIONAL governments and corporations power to shut down any website that they feel is "objectionable." I don't know about you but this scares me to pieces.
Don't care about piracy? you say. Well it also applies to drug manufacturers. Many generic drugs wouldn't be available because they would "violate" patents. Legitimate generic drugs and supplies to make drugs already have been confiscated at international borders because they were thought to be "illegal." I personally haven't been able to find a bottle of liquid extra strength Tylenol anywhere lately. Could this be why?
Don't know what to do? Yeah me neither. But I can spread the word about this horrific law and maybe someone out there knows what to do. Thanks for taking a few minutes to read this and please tell a friend or two. I will be back tomorrow with another free vintage image- well hopefully.
Here's a little video I found with this article that was sent to me. Please note that there is an obnoxious ad in the first 10 seconds of the video that is embedded and I cannot take out- just hit the "x" in the corner to get rid of it.
