Have You Heard of Craftsy?

Last week as I was lurking on the Etsy forums, I discovered a really interesting post. Someone mentioned Craftsy, a site where viewers can sign up for online crafting workshops and online classes, had just opened a new section called patterns where anyone can post their craft patterns for sale.

What I find so exciting about this is that Craftsy hosts your pattern for FREE which means you download the pattern on the site and when someone purchases it, Craftsy will send the pdf pattern to the customer for you. So essentially once you post your pattern, all of the work is done for you.
I came up with a pattern for Craftsy last week and finally posted it last night. The image came from an antique Valentine's Day card. I enjoyed coming up with the embroidery pattern so much that I think I will do a few more! You can check out my pattern and Craftsy's pattern section here.

Lovely embroidery patterns

These are some lovely embroidery patterns that I found on the net. If I could remember where I'd be more than happy to send you in their direction, but alas, my memory is a giant black hole and I have no idea where I found them. They would be neat to add to a collage piece or to use them to embroider onto a mixed media art piece. Wouldn't they be gorgeous stitched over a photograph?
