Vintage Clip Art- Drawing a Rooster

The holiday crafting season has begun! Well at least for felt anyway. I apologize for not posting here regularly lately but my Etsy shop has been slammed with orders. In fact I had no idea that so many people would want to purchase yardage of felt this year and I'm just not prepared for it. I am grateful that the shop is so busy but unfortunately it leaves me little time for this blog. However, I will still dedicate myself post but it will only be 3 times a week until the holidays are over. I hope that you will understand as the felt pays the bills and this does not. Thanks again for sticking around and reading the blog!

Antique Victorian Trade Card- Red Finch

Here is today's image: a pretty little red finch trade card by Arm and Hammer.

On a side note: Yesterday, my half-brother was driving on the freeway and took this amazing shot. I realize this isn't at all vintage related but it was too amazing not to share.Yes, that is a real person in the back of a trailer, holding onto a fridge on the FREEWAY. Seriously, what is he thinking?!?

Free Vintage Victorian Trade Card- Bird and Boose

What a strange moment in time to capture. Nothing like seeing a discarded booze bottle floating by in a pretty tropical environment.

Pssttt... have you heard???

As some of you might have noticed I haven't been adding new sites to my sidebar. I have had some people contact me and I appologize for not responding. I have been hard at work on a new site, my own web domain.. >insert loud, evil, crackly laugh here.. Bhawhaha!< :) anyways... it is almost up and running and will have multiple pages including The Vintage Moth. This blog location will continue to exist as it hold hundreds of great images for all of us. The new site will have all the old images and well as new posts going forward(once it's live, until then I'll be here). It has been ready for a while now but I have had some domain transfer issues. (the technicalities are frustrating to say the least..) You will be able to subscribe to the new blog feed etc.. if you are interested in advertising your crafty biz or site before we go online, (then you'd be at the top of totem pole so to speak) just drop me an email here. There is also an entire page of special links that have caught my eye and that I find are helpful for life and craft.
So that is where some of my time has been spent.. building a new site! Geesshh! It's hard work, even with a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Host.

'Something's a foot, Dear Watson!'
Sorry, this pic above made me think of Sherlock Holmes in his parlor.

I'm sorry for my absense. I have two very sick little girls at home and I just don't have the time.. there are so many things to catch up on, but it will have to wait.

Hope every one is fantastic!

Ah, well...

Hidy ho neighbors! hehehe...

Sorry about that, sometimes I just get silly. I want to thank everyone who signed the guestbook that was at the bottom of the page. There were some problems with people receiving the post notifications and I couldn't find a way to fix it other than to delete the entire thing. :P Aaahhh... computer glitches.. gotta love 'em! Anywhooo.. Yey! to everyone who joined me on Facebook! It's one of the internet holes that you get stuck in and just can't seem to get out of. Kind of like blogging! :) Hope you are all fabulous...

xoxo~

100th Post!! GIVEAWAY!!

I'm sorry that I have been gone for so long. I have been trying to decide what I want to do for The Vintage Moth's 100th Post! A very big deal here in Bloglandia and not to be taken lightly! :)

Sooo.... in traditional blog style I have decided to have a giveaway just for those who stop by. I will be passing along some antique papers, pages or this and that. The real ones!

Here is the nitty gritty:

1.)this contest is only for those who happen to visit. Please don't spread the word. Besides, the fewer who enter the more likely you are to win! ;)

2.)This giveaway is open to anyone, from anywhere in the world. I get the biggest kick out seeing where people come from so the further away the better!

3.)Leave a comment on this post let me know what type of images are your favorite.

4.)You can enter only once, up until February 20th. (My birthday.. it's always better to give than receive!)

5.)That's it!

Now.. on to the prize..

The originals of the above pages, some original antique ledger pages and whatever I find in my collection that suites the person who wins! You'll love it!
Oh, you're looking for the days free images aren't you? Here those are...
