Vintage Clip Art- On the Water

Being on the water with cooler weather sounds soooo appealing. Our temperatures here in Arizona still haven't dropped below 100 degrees during the day but the weatherman has promised that we will get there on Wednesday. Honestly, though I think he's just saying that because he's tired of the hate mail from viewers who are sick of the heat.

Vintage Clip Art- Seashells

Yesterday evening we had a huge dust storm. I took these photos with my iphone as it was coming in.
And of course my bf had to go outside to "experience it." I'm pretty sure guys never fully grow up.I can only imagine that this is a tiny amount of what the people experienced during the dust bowl. Anyway, we don't have a beach close by but now we have plenty of sand. I thought these shell images would go perfectly with today's sand/dirt theme.

Victorian Die Cuts- Boats/ Nautical

Every summer seems to bring out the nautical trend. For some reason it just doesn't get old to me. Here are a couple of Victorian die-cut boats that hopefully you can use in your nautical themed crafts.

Also, if you are a crafter, I saw this really cute tutorial for nautical flag napkins on the Purl Soho blog yesterday. I might give it a go when I have some time!

Vintage Clip Art- Sea Serpent

This is a cool vintage illustration of the illusive sea serpent. It would be pretty scary in person to see if it was the same size of the ship you were on. -Sarah

Vintage Clip Art- Giant Squid

This is a really cool illustration of a giant squid taking down a ship. He seems to be staring at me saying, "One move and it's all over for the ship!"   -Sarah
