Antique Cigarette Card

I found this old cigarette card on Etsy and just fell in love. I don't know why I am drawn to old medical genre illustrations but I hope that you will enjoy them too. Here is an illustration of compression of an artery. I love that when I smell the card, I can still smell the tobacco that it came with. I don't smoke but something about that smell reminds me of my childhood.
Have a fantastic weekend and I will be back on Monday with some more images!

Vitalogy and Estate Sale Pics

On Friday, I went to an Estate sale over in the "old money" part of Phoenix. I love going to these because these houses are usually pretty big. This one was over 4000 square feet with a separate living quarters on the side of the property. They also usually hold a lot of stuff. Oh and I'm nosy. How else am I going to tour and see the inside some of Phoenix's largest real estate?
Although the house was dated (from the 60's) the view from their front porch while I waited in line to get in was quite pretty to look at.

Here are some of the interesting items I saw at the sale:

I only purchased 3 items: an antique Vitalogy book (super excited about this), a 70's toy Mr. Peanut, Peanut Butter maker, and some vintage paper treat holders.

Here is a page from the 1926 Vitalogy book. The pages were already coming apart so I don't feel too bad about tearing it open more to be able to get better scans to share with you! It is a page of "professional remedies" used for certain illnesses from the 20's.
