An illustration from the 1864 manuscript of 'Alice's Adventures Under Ground' (the very first Alice book).
Agnes Grace Weld, taken 1857. I LOVE this photo.
Mary Millais, 1865.
I used these images in some art for Kathryn's Soul Journal Blog Party. A most fabulously, fun spooky time. Please come and visit my blog HERE to see how I interpreted them. Lewis Carroll was a fantastic dreamer and whimsy maker but I don't think I would have left him alone with my children.
These wallpapers where in my grandfather's 1790's New England Colonial. They aren't that old, but they are well over 100 years, as one had the date of 1892 on the side. Such lovely colors!
I invite to join me at my blog, Down Abbie's Road where I am having some 'guests' over. You can also join the party hosted by Vanessa, of A Fanciful Twist. As a 'treat' for the season, there are some free Halloween inspired clipart offerings at the bottom of my post Down Abbie's Road.
These are some images from my most favorite resources on the internet for art, photographs and pure inspiration. Viola and Dawn are amazing mixed media artists who post their creations regularly. Please visit them!
This postcard was a gift from my dear friend Rhonda. Thank you Rhonda! I love it! She does some amazing art and has a lovely Etsy Shop where she sells some fabulous ephemera.
Ugghh.. sorry. I keep duplicating images, as I don't have a decent way of keeping track of what I have posted. I also don't usually have the time to browse through all the categories when I am posting. Please excuse me, I'll try to pay more attention! xoxo~ Abbie
