*UPDATED* Bookplate, mermaids and question marks...

I'm not quite sure where I grabbed the pic below from.. if anyone knows, I'd love to give credit or be slapped if need be... please use it only for personal use as I am unsure of it's background..

** THANK YOU LAURA! :) I did snag the image below from Sandra Evertson. It was one she offered up to readers of her blog HERE. It is for PERSONAL USE ONLY.. *** She gives a lovely tidbit on using it for a bookcover.

Hope you are all fabulous!

aaahh... summer...

We are finally getting the summer you dream of here in New Hampshire.. it has been sunny, in the 80's and the lakes have all warmed up. Alas, school starts in about a week and half. Part of me is excited though.. the cold weather brings me back to my computer and studio. As soon as things settle down, I will be back, bringing with me, a new layout for The Vintage Moth, (with sponsor options as we get an amazing 20-30 THOUSAND hits a month) not too shabby for a blog that doesn't post. Soon, I promise! I still am on the hunt for 'new' antique books and illustrations for you. It is nice to have something to offer that hasn't been offered before. So, please be patient, enjoy your summer.

War Posters and a Blog Banner...

Bookmarks and the 4th of July!

These bookmarks came from an antique Bible. I just love their Victorian graphics!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Thank you..

Thank you for your patience.. your continued support and your friendship! My life is slowly calming down, although now the pull of the outdoors is calling. We have chickens now, gardens to plant, veggies to grow, sheds to build and it's all good. Hope that Spring is taking root in your lives and that goodness is flowing! (or Autumn, depending on which hemisphere you are in!)

and yet again...

I am awaiting the arrival of a new PC. As ours has decided to run excruciatingly slow when I try to do anything. Anything.. I have tried all the tricks but our 5 year old HP dinosaur is just not cutting it. Soooo.... I will be absent until the arrival of my maxed out, crankin' Dell. Woohhhoooo! At that time, I am hoping my digital world, images, and art will be resurrected. Because it's a custom build, it's going to take 3 and half weeks before it even ships. Arrrgghhh! I am NOT a patient person, but I know it will be so worth the wait in the long run. I am looking to do some design work 'for hire' so to speak starting this Fall. ie.. blog banners, layouts, avatars, etsy banners, widgets, linkies, and anything else people request of me. The sun is out, the snow is gone and Spring is violently calling me outside. So, dear friends, I am taking a vaca of sorts and will return, hopefully full of bright ideas, brilliant thoughts and lovely images just for you! Step away from your PC's and go out into the world and enjoy it!

xoxo~

I'm sorry for my absense. I have two very sick little girls at home and I just don't have the time.. there are so many things to catch up on, but it will have to wait.

Hope every one is fantastic!

Enjoy your free clipart images this weekend! The sun is suppose to shine here and I'm hoping we loose the rest of our snow. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
